Recent college graduates, neighboring university students, and Penn State Lehigh Valley students seeking to connect with potential employers for internships or full-time positions are encouraged to attend the annual Health and Human Services job fair.
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Students, recent college graduates and established professionals interested in health and human services careers will find a wealth of information and opportunities at the 2nd Annual Lehigh Valley Job Fair for Health and Human Services on April 11, at Penn State Lehigh Valley. The event runs from 2 to 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
“The job fair gives students who are ready to graduate from college the opportunity to connect with potential employers, and students seeking internships a way to connect with community programs and agencies who may have internships opportunities. It also connects local employers to a pool of applicants,” said Teri Kistler, Rehabilitation and Human Services (RHS) program coordinator at PSU-LV and one of the event organizers. “Job seekers will walk away with information about potential career options.”
Over 30 vendors have confirmed attendance, and all are currently hiring for a wide range of positions.
“It’s a health and human services job fair, but students and job seekers in all majors with different levels of experience can find a new opportunity,” said Kistler. “Those with backgrounds in business, IT, finance, communications, psychology and rehabilitation and human services will find the job fair valuable to attend and allow them to learn more about what’s available at our local and regional employers.”

Attendees should dress for success and be prepared to interview for open positions. Also, Kistler said, students ought to bring copies of their resume, whether they plan to hand them out to potential employers or want to get feedback on it at one of the workshops.
Students from neighboring universities are encouraged to attend. Event sponsor Magellan Healthcare has arranged a shuttle service to pick up students at Bucks County Community College, Cedar Crest College, and DeSales University to increase accessibility for the event. Each campus will have a pre-arranged pickup and drop off location at their discretion.
